Nothing says 4th of July like sparklers! But little ones and sparklers...Here's a fun, festive version of sparklers that your kiddos can make themselves and keep everyone's holiday safe.

TISSUE PAPER 4TH OF JULY SPARKLERS

• Red, white & blue tissue paper
• Plastic straws
• Glue
• Scissors

STEPS

1. Cut the large tissue paper sheets in half and stack the half sheets together.
2. Fold the stacked sheets in half lengthwise.
3. Using scissors, cut strips into the stack starting at the bottom edge and stopping two inches from the folded edge.
4. Put a thin line of glue along the length of the folded edge.
5. Place a straw onto the start of the glue line and begin rolling the straw, wrapping the tissue paper around the top of the straw.
6. When the tissue paper is wrapped around the straw, put a dot of glue onto the tissue paper to seal the seam.
7. Let it dry, then fluff the tissue paper strips to form the sparkler.
